Dunbar Hockey Club

.Dunbar Hockey Club is at once both a competitive and social club. The club fields a team currently in East District league on Saturday afternoons, but we also aim to add a fun side to hockey by holding regular social events. Training takes place once a week and involves a mix of both skill work and fitness – each week we focus on different aspects of both individual and team skills. Training is open to all ages from high school age through to more experienced players! We also welcome players of all levels – it’s all about enjoying hockey and having fun, while adding a competitive edge on a Saturday afternoon if that is what you’re looking for.

There is also a very popular and successful Juniors section in Dunbar Hockey Club, run by parents and volunteers. This section welcomes all children of primary school age to come along and play some hockey once a week at Hallhill. The Juniors Club also occasionally takes part in matches and tournaments. The aim is to channel the young players through to the main club and we have successfully managed this for a long time, with several of our regular Saturday team members having been brought through the Juniors section.
